With the weather we get it's vital to have an easy to use raincover to fit your buggy, travel system or pramette.

When you buy your pushchair, most makes will have a specialist PVC raincover that either comes as part of the package or one that you can buy separately.

You should also think about buying a raincover for your travel system car seat as you will be carrying baby from the car to wherever you need to be.

One big thing to remember is to make sure that when you are indoors, you open up the buggy raincover and the car seat raincover to allow air to circulate or you take it off completely. Baby will get too hot if you leave the raincovers on. Make sure you allow air to circulate freely to keep baby happy.

An alternative to a fitted raincover is a rain cape - a lightweight, waterproof cape that covers the pushchair and has a hood to keep your child's head dry.

Britax, Graco, Mothercare, Mountain Buggy, Quinny and Stokke are brands that have their own makes of pushchair, all-terrain and buggy raincovers.
