This is the only pushchair/pram to go for if you live in a city or suburbs. It makes getting on and off tubes, buses and trains (and even escalators) a piece of cake as you can shrink the width down with a flick of a switch.

Your baby is higher than normal, so away from exhaust fumes and helps save your back when you want to move or pick up baby. Also being so high up encourages interaction between parents and baby.

The down side is that it is expensive, however for the benefits you get above ALL other prams and pushchairs plus its 3 year guarentee, this is the one to go for

The Stokke may look weird - but if you are looking at the pushchair from a baby's perspective it is great. It takes a little while to get used to putting it up and taking it down, it fits into a saloon car boot fairly easily.

The positives are that it can be used as a high chair in restaurants - when no seats are available. The seat can be forward and backward facing, so when baby is young you can watch them and when older they can see what is happening around them. It can be fully upright, seated or reclined - so they can sleep easily, and on many occasions we have used the Stokke to get him to go to sleep. There is plenty of storage space in abag underneath. The wheels can be retracted so you can take the pushchair up and downstairs.

The best feature though is that baby is much higher than any other pushchair. So he is not fighting the shopping bags or looking at people's shoes and legs but on the same level as everyone else - a great position for them to see and explore the world.

The only downside is that if you want to go for country walks then the Stokke is not great. Mud gets stuck in wheels and it can be hard going because the centre of gravity is higher than other pushchairs. Definitely a pushchair for town.
